📌 What Are Tasks?
Tasks are individual action items that help you manage the work that needs to get done. They can live on their own or be linked to a specific project or contact.
Use tasks to:
- Break down client deliverables
- Track internal workflows
- Break down client deliverables
- Assign responsibilities
- Attach files and due dates
- View everything from one place
🛠 Creating Tasks
You can create tasks in four ways:
- From the Tasks Page → Click Create Task
- Inside a Project → Tasks are tied to that specific project
- From the Calendar → Choose a date and create a task directly
- Using the + New Button → Quick entry from anywhere
Task Setup Includes:
- Task Name (required): Give it a clear, actionable title
- Project: Optional link to a specific project
- Description: Add context or instructions
- Start & Due Dates: Schedule the work
- Status: To Do, In Progress, Blocked, Completed
- Priority: High, Regular, or Low
- Attachments: Upload supporting files
- People: Assign tasks to clients or team members
👥 Task Assignment & People Tab
You can assign a task to:
- Yourself
- A team member
- A linked contact (great for client tasks)
Just go to the People tab and search for the person you want to add.
🧾 Task Views & Organization
Switch between multiple views to manage your workflow:
- Table View – Traditional list with sortable columns
- Kanban Board – Drag-and-drop across status columns
- Calendar View – View tasks by due date, and create or edit tasks directly from the calendar
- Project View – See tasks inside each project
Each task shows status, priority, due date, and links to its project/contact.
✏️ Managing Tasks
- Click on any task to edit its details
- Update status as work progresses
- Drag tasks across columns in Kanban view
- Use filters, columns, and grouping to stay organized
- Attach documents and leave internal notes or comments
📈 Best Practices
💡 Use clear task titles – like “Send Final Invoice” or “Design Moodboard”
💡 Assign due dates to stay on track
💡 Group related tasks under the same project
💡 Break big tasks into smaller, actionable steps
💡 Use comments to track updates, approvals, or decisions
