Overview
Project timelines can be shared with clients, hidden, or kept internal to your team. Settings on the project and on each timeline decide what clients see in the portal and on PDF QR codes.
🧭 Portal access modes
- View – Clients can open the timeline in the portal.
- Comment – Clients can view and comment when your settings allow.
- Internal only – The timeline is hidden from the portal entirely. Clients cannot open it, comment, or see a portal QR code on PDFs.
- Inherit – A timeline follows the project default access mode.
🔧 Set Internal only
- Open a Project and go to the Timelines tab.
- Set the project default or open a single timeline.
- Choose Internal only for planning your team keeps to itself.
- Team PDF export still works. Portal QR codes are left off when access is internal.
💡 Rule of thumb: Use Internal only for prep work; switch a timeline to View when clients should see it.
