If you deliver galleries through SmugMug, you no longer have to track down links and paste them into emails. Connect your SmugMug account once, then link the right gallery to the right project so your team and your clients can find it in one place.

What Is SmugMug?

SmugMug is a photo hosting and gallery platform widely used by photographers to deliver and showcase client galleries.
With the SmugMug integration connected, you can:


  • Link a SmugMug gallery to a TalleFlow project
  • View the linked gallery inside the project'sĀ GalleryĀ tab
  • Share the gallery with clients directly through the client portal

Connecting Your SmugMug Account

SmugMug connects using OAuth, so you authorize access through your existing SmugMug login rather than entering an API key.
  1. OpenĀ Business Settings
  2. Navigate toĀ Connected Tools
  3. FindĀ SmugMugĀ and clickĀ Connect
  4. Sign in to your SmugMug account and authorize TalleFlow
Once authorized, your SmugMug account is connected at the business level.

Linking a Gallery to a Project

Connecting your account doesn't automatically attach galleries to projects. Since SmugMug doesn't tell TalleFlow which gallery belongs to which event, you'll need to link them yourself so nothing ends up mismatched.


  1. Open theĀ Project DashboardĀ for the event
  2. Navigate to theĀ GalleryĀ tab
  3. ChooseĀ Link GalleryĀ and select the correct gallery from your connected SmugMug account
Once linked, the gallery stays tied to that project going forward.

Client Portal Experience

Once a gallery is linked, clients can view it directly inside their client portal under the project'sĀ GalleryĀ tab, without needing a separate SmugMug link or login.

Best PracticesĀ 

  • Link galleries as soon as they're ready so clients always have quick access from their portal
  • Double check you've selected the correct gallery before linking, especially if you manage multiple events with similar names
  • If a gallery is re-organized or renamed in SmugMug, revisit the project's Gallery tab to confirm the link still points to the right place
