Questionnaires & Surveys

šŸ“Œ What Are Questionnaires?

Questionnaires in TalleFlow are fully customizable forms designed to gather detailed information from clients, prospects, or partners. They're built using our drag-and-drop Unlayer form editor and can be reused as templates or created for specific projects.
Common uses include:
  • Client intakeĀ before starting a project
  • Feedback collectionĀ after delivery
  • Market researchĀ to understand your audience
  • Project briefsĀ for vendors or collaborators

šŸš€ How to Create a QuestionnaireĀ

  1. Go toĀ DocumentsĀ in the main navigation
  2. ClickĀ Create Document
  3. SelectĀ QuestionnaireĀ as the document type
  4. Choose whether to:
    • Create a Template for ongoing use
    • Create a File tied to a specific project or contact

This opens the editor where you can design your questionnaire.

                        🧱 1. Add Questionnaire Blocks

                        Inside the editor:
                        1. Go to theĀ BlocksĀ tab
                        2. Drag theĀ Questionnaire BlockĀ onto your page

Each Questionnaire Block holds a group of questions and content elements.

You can add as many Questionnaire Blocks as you like, anywhere in your document: between text, images, and other content, and across multiple pages. Drag in another block whenever you want to start a new section.

                        🧩 2. Add Questions & Content

Within each Questionnaire Block, you'll use the left-hand panel to add both interactive questions and content sections.

Question Fields: These are the inputs your client will answer:

                        • Short Text
                        • Long Text
                        • Email
                        • Phone
                        • Number
                        • URL
                        • Date
                        • Dropdown
                        • Single Choice (Radio)
                        • Multiple Choice (Checkboxes)
                        • File Upload

Perfect for collecting requirements, preferences, logistics, and supporting attachments.

Content Blocks: These enhance readability and structure:

                          • Headings
                          • Paragraphs
                          • Images
                          • Dividers
                          • Callouts

Use them to add instructions, explain details, separate sections, or provide clarity before clients answer.

                          āœļø 3. Edit Element Settings

Select any question or content element in the left-hand Manage Elements list to edit it.
                          Question Element Settings
                          • LabelĀ (your main question text)
                          • Placeholder text
                          • Help text
                          • Required toggle
                          • Choice optionsĀ (for dropdown, single, or multi-select)

šŸ“š 4. Use Multiple Questionnaire Blocks

Every Questionnaire Block in a document belongs to the same questionnaire. When your client submits, answers from all blocks are sent together as one response.

                          • You'll see a single entry in Questionnaire Responses, not one per block
                          • You can still put many questions inside one block
                          • Or split questions into sections, with your own headings, images, and design in between

Example: a wedding intake questionnaire could have an "About You" block on page one, a "Venue & Timeline" block on page two, and a "Style Preferences" block after your gallery of inspiration photos. Your client fills in all three and submits once.

                          šŸ“¤ 5. How Clients Submit

Questionnaire Blocks no longer include their own Submit button. Instead, your client sees one Submit button in the document header of the Client Portal.

                          • Multi-page documents: earlier pages show Next; Submit appears on the last page
                          • After submitting: your client sees a thank-you step
                          • Older questionnaires: any Submit button that was inside a block is removed automatically
