Instead of building every automation from scratch, you can start from a pre-built template and customize it to fit your workflow.
Templates are ready-made automation workflows designed for common use cases. They come with the trigger, actions, conditions, and waits already configured so you can get up and running faster.
How to use a template
Once you use a template, TalleFlow creates a copy of that workflow in your account. You can customize everything: the trigger, actions, conditions, wait times, merge tags, and any other settings.
The original template is never changed. Your version is yours to edit however you want.

What a template includesWhen you preview or use a template, it comes with:
- A pre-configured trigger (what starts the workflow)
- One or more steps (actions, waits, and/or conditions)
- Descriptions explaining what each step does
- A visual preview showing the workflow flow
- Change the trigger or add trigger filters
- Edit action settings (email content, task details, document selection, etc.)
- Add, remove, or reorder steps
- Change wait times
- Adjust conditions
- Rename the automation
- Add merge tags to personalize content
There is no lock or restriction. Templates are just a starting point.
When to use a template vs. starting from blankUse a template when:
- You want to get a workflow running quickly
- You are new to automations and want to see how they are structured
- The use case matches a common pattern (lead follow-up, onboarding, post-booking, etc.)
- You want inspiration for what is possible
Start from blank when:
- Your workflow is unique to your business
- You already know exactly what steps you want
- None of the templates match your use case
- You prefer building from the ground up
- Using a template does not affect any of your existing automations
- Each time you use a template, it creates a new, separate automation
- Templates are not connected to the original. Updates to the template library do not change automations you already created.
- You still need to activate the automation after customizing it. Templates are created in an inactive state so you can review before turning them on.
- Some templates may reference documents, forms, or stages that you need to set up in your account first (the builder will show you what is missing)
